Which do you like more...
Taking into consideration all the factors. Including privacy.
Which would you buy?
I'm not asking for guidance, just wanted to know what you guys think.
When playing games, which do you like?

Lets just think about basic sets of each.

Ill add a additional option for those who suck. :D
And one for those who cant decide (you don't suck) alot.

i prefer my speakers, mainly cause the kick **** in the sound department, but. i like my headphones when everyone in my house, if i were to use my speakers i would more than likely wake a few people up. i have good sounding comfortable headphones so its all good, but speakers have the upper hand i think

at night time if your at home i'd prefer head phones but normally i think speakers have the upper hand.

I use my Headset when im editing videos so I can sync the sound more effective then crappy speakers, but if im using my üb3rpr0h4x0rsk1llz then i'll take out my Speakers :)

I've got some fair speakers (in the process of upgrading) and a nice 12" Klipsch sub for my home system, and as much as I love to turn it up and hear the sound all around me and feel it, I rarely get the oppertunity to do so. I live in a duplex and my neighbor is an old lady that rarely leaves the apt.

So a nice pair of headphones would be welcome.

/feel free to donate yours to me

Well, It Depends........

First, I don't normally turn on the sound to my computer. I listen to music and watch DVD on my home free standing equipment.
Volume for volume I think loudspeakers are more pleasant and much less tiring for general listening. Headphones (and 4 channel speaker systems) tend to be much more restrictive with respect to listener placement. This sounds silly and obvious about the phones but, the "you are there" thing does get oppressive. The digital delay in the rear channels of a multi-channel speaker systems does give the impression of a concert hall, but again, a little goes a long way.
The phones win for porn, for obvious reasons. Oooh, aahhh, like that!

i use both, if theres others in the house then headphones and if i do get a chance with no one around i bring out the speakers, but that dont happen to often any more

both 4 me

I use both but mostly because everybody in my houes bitches about how loud the speakers are, but if theres no one to complain I'm all about feeling as well as hearing.

Head phones seem restrictive somtimes but if i am talking in a game they are a must i dont need everybody else to hear what we plan to attack next.

I use headhones and a buttkicker so i can get the feeling and the great sound without anyone else having to experience it.

Oh that sounds great but does the buttkicker come with the special chair with a hole in the back or do u have to stand and play.

Thats awsome, I didnt realize that there is actually a product call buttkicker, sry
M0R0NI I thought u were messin with me

I prefer my 5.1 MMGear headset over speakers any day.

I have several high quality sets of both speakers and headphones.
I am in the market for some new headsets, what you do you recommend?

I don't use headphones because...

1. I already can't hear for $h** and I need to hear the answering machine to screen calls (No caller ID on my phones lol)

2. Most headphones usually hurt my ears, I don't see the point of spending 100+ dollars on extra padding.

3. Speakers look awesome IMO and I don't know why you wouldn't show those off and off some stupid set of headphones instead.

My mom plays her music too loud, so I play mine's loud too. We basically have Decibel wars! :p

I will never go back to gaming with speakers after using 5.1 headset. Plus I use voice communication while I'm gaming.
