What have you done with Ewido? The 023 entry for Ewido was fine earlier, and now is showing file missing.
Not sure actually. Ewido is working fine. Should I reinstall?

The below entries are from your after log.
Locate the above 023 services. Double click on them, and if they are running select stop. Set the startup type to disabled. Click apply ok.
When I ran services.msc, the two 023 services showed as "Service Status: Stopped". So I left it as is. Fixing it via HijackThis still did not actually fix one.

That`s where you went wrong. You still need to set the startup type to disabled.

Yes reinstall Ewido.

Regards Howard :)

EDIT - The two services no longer show up in HJT, and the file in ewido is no longer missing.

I think I can call it clean!

Thanks everybody. :grinthumb

...... no.....

See the attached file...

There's got to be something I'm not doing right, as far as getting these things removed.

Thanks again Howard, that pretty much fixed it.

I'm having trouble trying to run the online Panda scan though, due to my inability to get IE to work (I posted this in Misc. software and utilities).

Sorry about being such a needy n00b :(

are you haveing trouble with opening an IE window, or with getting webpages to load in IE?

On a computer I recently serviced, I was able to work around not being able to open a browser windo (either IE or firefox) by typing a full weba address into the explorer.exe toolbar.

Hey all!

I had spyfalcon hijack my comp there a few days ago but have almost successfully rid it. Spyfalcon is gone, along with its registery entries, but mssearchnet.exe is still on the comp. Im pretty sure i know why though. When deleting mssearchnet.exe, nvctrl.exe, dxmpp.dll, etc. etc. I could not locate the mscornet.exe file anywhere on my computer.

So my question is, does anyone know of any variations of this file name?

Also, if anyone is still having problems with spyfalcon I'll post up what i did to remove it, but it most likely has already been posted here by someone else!

Thanks for anyone who can help!
Peter, Ireland
