My 2 in 1 windows tablet came with windows 7. I was able to upgrade it to windows 10. I don't think the past windows 7 was completely deleted, although it says its gone. when I go to the temporary files it says 5.8 GB can be deleted. but when I get into the temporary files, it says only 38 MB is there to delete. please help me figure out how to clear this dead storage space. I have tried everything I know to do. Thank you for your help.

Disk Cleanup > Clean up system files (button at the bottom)

That will add the upgrade temporary files to the list and you can then select to remove them.

Thank you but I've done that already. Also tried. Disk compression which gave me a couple GB. Also tried defragmenting. And all the automatic cleaning up processes. Also used CCleaner. It's something in the brain of the computer that's not computing.
