Streaming TV from PC to TV in different rooms

In a nutshell, pc is upstairs in a room, tv is downstairs in living room. I'm doubting HDMI cables come in lengths long enough to cover the distance, so is there an alternate way to stream this https://www.kiro7.com/video/live-stream/ from pc to tv?? Best is free of course, but if not, hmmm.

Get a little Chromecast device - plug it into the TV, install the Google Cast extension for Chrome, and it should work fine. Streaming quality will be determined by the quality of the wifi connection.

Ok, after reading this https://screen.cloud/learn/beginners-guide-google-chromecast I think it might just be easier to buy an inexpensive laptop , set it next to tv & using an HDMI cord hook them together. That is how I do it at home & once at a friends place. Thanks for your suggestion.
