Hello,
As the title suggests, I'm having difficulties installing my Windows 7. This is the situation:
- New, empty, 1TB Harddrive, just installed
- Working W7 dvd (tested last week, using that install now)
- Working dvd-drive (tested with other DVD's)
What happens is that when I boot from DVD, and when I get the Loading Files bar, it get's stuck on about 5-10%. Right when it hits that point, the dvd-drive disables and all I hear is fans spinning.
Also, I can't seem to see my new harddrive in windows, but Windows did tell me it'd installed the drivers to use it. I'm seeing it just fine in BIOS though.
Since the dvd and the drive are tested, I'm not really sure what it can be. It can't really be the harddrive, since windows should boot from DVD without harddrive.
I'm really confused on this one, so any help is welcome.
Marty
Edit: I tested the windows DVD in another computer, and it booted from dvd as it should. Also, windows 'Device Manager' lists the harddrive as a storage device, but I'm still not able to access or even see it in windows.
