Study says a revolution in the sex robot industry is on the way, warns of potential dangers

I actually came within one click of "discovering" those twins. I stopped short at an arrangement of "My Heart Must Go On", for harp and violin.

Granted Ms. McKennitt cheats a bit here with a full band,. (Up to and including a hurdy-gurdy). I'm sure you'll catch the gist of her though. (Also being a well bred and refined Irish lass, Loreena too plays the harp, along with the piano and accordion).

I have this DVD, I don't think I play it nearly often enough. Hmmm.

... Or just flip "her" switch.
Which is what I would absolutely do in the case of Ms Petrashak, likely after the 1st hour or so of that damned Strad. Which, as a bachelor is something I've been doing for years with my AV equipment. You get tired of listening to her screeching, hit the "off". button

.Personally, I would just enjoy listening to their music though. I am fortunate to have a loving wife, and using a bot would just seem weird to me.
We already have "emotion bots" in the form of Canis lupus familiaris Yes, the dog is still considered a wolf, but the sub-species we have at our disposal is far more adept at sensing our emotions, than most members of our own species. The lack of ulterior motives in the makeup of their personalities, yields an atmosphere of complete trust between man and beast. (Although it is said that Dobermans only kill their "masters"). So let's have our bot with the loyalty of the dog, and lacking the disingenuous treachery of Homo Sapiens.

That being said, some people may benefit from a robot, for instance someone who likes to take after a spider and kill their partner would really benefit from sex bots.
If I remember correctly, the little red hourglass and most potent venom belongs to the female of that species. Evolution has largely suppressed those traits in the human female, morphing instead to the retention of divorce lawyers, the weapon of slander, and the company of pool boys...

I can envision a future in which sex robots will be essential to a happy household. We would finally be able to put aside how enjoyable our companion is in bed and just live together with a good friend.

People are already overattached to cellphones... They would make sex to it if they had a way...
Well, don't look now, but I think they already do. How else would you explain all the pictures of men's junk, FBI agents posing as 13 year old girls receive?

Although, the trouble really starts when Mr. J. Wannabangya Pervington goes to meet the aforementioned "sweet young thing". That's when the FBI agent whips out his nine inches, in the form of Glock and a pair of handcuffs.

At his trial, Mr. P is stuck trying to use the rather flimsy "Slick Willy Clinton Defense", blurting out repeatedly, "I did not have sex with that phone".

But sorry to report J.P., in the eyes of the law, you did indeed, "have sex with that phone"....:D

Why others care about how someone uses items that don't affect them in anyway, shape or form is beyond my understanding. As long as no one is getting hurt, suffering or will suffer, who the hell cares? Do I care how you use your stove? Your remote control? Your can opener? Do I care about how you arrange your cupboards? what radio stations your stereo is set to? etc etc... Point: IF it DOESN'T affect you, mind your own business. Personally, I think a female robot for me (and a male robot for the wife) would be awesome. Not in the mood? Cool, Jeeves, get over here for the wife (and vise versa).

I agree with you in that people need to mind their business when something doesn't even affect them, but you need to understand that this does affect everyone because its going to affect culture in general and on how people see one another sexually. Its going to further fuel the sociopathic direction society is heading.

Too many factors to make that kind of prediction although I see that possible direction. With all the variables it could set an amazing new path for humans. Out of the millions of different paths, just one for example: Sex and desire has (virtually) always been a point of men chasing women, if you remove that from the equation, what will this do to the balance of power with the sexes?

In the end, life is bigger then us individually.
