Survey: Nearly a quarter of Windows PC users say they are switching to Mac

Biggest issue is that most PC users are laptop users, and most laptop makers are garbage. credit to apple for making consistently just reliable computers, and having at least usable customer service - this coming from a diehard windows user.
Laptop makers are not garbage and all have very high quality laptops, the problem is when people compare the entry level PC vs entry level Apple you get a entry level $250 PC vs an $800 Mac. It's not a fair comparison but your average consumer is rather dumb and will blame the low end PC for being a low end PC and say that Apple is just awesome. Get yourself a good $800 PC and it can be as good, or better than the Mac, I have found and used many myself but you have to do research and not many do.

Blame it on the brainwashing Apple does to its fans, they think that MACs are superior because they cost more.

The logic = if A cost more than B than A must be a superior product.

This of course will fall on deaf ears with Apple fans because MAC is so innovative and ahead of the curve.

Mac has roughly 7% market share... which it what it has had for about 20 years. So this is predicting it will suddenly swing up to over 30% markeshare in a couple years... lol. Yeah, that will happen. Some shady numbers here someplace. Although I suppose the numbers are scewed based on personal vs business.

I painted an Apple logo on my laptop that way I get the best hardware & software, don't pay an apple tax, and get that superior feeling of high income class superiority when in public.

So, basically, those with low income that aren't very smart are more likely to buy Apple. Because they don't know much, so they fall for the ads.

And those with high income, like politicians, who know nothing about nothing, will also buy Mac. Because they don't know much about technology, so they fall for the ads.

But the middle class, which knows something about something, knows that Windows is better. Okay. This kind of distribution you have in all other areas, so why not in computing.

This is so wrong. It only proves that polls are completely worthless. I'm guessing an Apple computer crunched the numbers to get these results.

Where does one buy an $800 Macbook or Air? You're off by 25% for the Air (starts at $999) and 63% for the Macbook and Macbook Pro (starts at $1,299).
My niece is a student and her Air came out to a bit over $800, I guess it is a discount or something.

ive recommended to people many 700-1000 laptops in the last 2 years, and many have developed issues with either hardware or drivers (some minor, some massive), and the customer service of said companies (asus, dell, lenovo mostly) are a PITA to deal with.

Im very far from the average consumer, but I still understand very much the appeal of macs. A person who doesnt know or care what a processor is just wants a working computer that they can get help with if they need, and not many PC makers can offer that right now.

Ditching the I*diotic bloatware system and hiring people who are decent at writing drivers would be a massive step in the right direction.

Ill buy windows computers all day, but thats beacuse I dont care about doing driver rollbacks or troubleshooting stuff online or uninstalling 30 preinstalled pieces of software.

I format and do a clean install of every new laptop I have people buy because I hate bloatware but the ones I have recommended that I couldn't have been going strong for a good while now. Then again I don't let anyone buy consumer laptops, I point them to the business laptops of Dell and Lenovo mostly. Customer service for business products are much better as is the hardware design for them.

Now that Apple have set their pricing at taking the piss levels, I find that highly unlikely.

Carping about a system you don't own or have never used? Can you spell B I G O T? Use whatever you like and move on. Throwing water balloons over the fence at your neighbor is childish.(n)
I do not see one spot where I stated anything "b-I-g-o-t"ed, nor anywhere that I said I've no experience with Apple. Delusional response, a la Trump.

I disagree with what that apart from apple everyone makes garbage devices. as per customer service is concerned asus is giving good services. on site global warranty for their laptops. I had an ultrabook from asus two of its keyboard buttons stopped working and had only 10 days warranty left ( that was my fault though spilled little water) raised complaint eng came to my place and said keyboard needs to be replaced. he didn't show up for a week I email customer service and got my full purchase price refunded in my account and they collected the old laptop. as far reliability of components is the matter now a mac book pro with 1tb ssd and latest i7 processor will cost ($3400) how you could compare it with some normal laptop of $450 laptop and pushing views that other are garbage. you get quality as much you spend. now buy a macbook pro $3400 and a asus zenbook pro ux550 for $1200 to $1700 with similar or better specs and then give me the views on garbage products.

Lot of Windows 10 bashing here. The fact it that CrApple OS require you to buy overpriced yet underpowered hardware that hardly runs any serious programs before you can even use it.

Umm, that data is flawed... If you say 25% across all incomes, then break it out by income, some brackets should be below, and some should be above 25%. You can't say 25% as a whole, then have the highest percent bracket be 20%.
That's like saying 50% of people like Nascar, 20% woman, and 30% of men like it. for 50% to be true on average, it would have to be something like 60/40 when sampled by sex.
