minidumps attached below

Two drivers were cited as the source of your problem.

The first is Symevent.sys and this belongs to your Symantec security software. We have seen a lot of people have issues with this software and particularly this driver.

However, it is the second driver sptd.sys that may be the central problem. It is part of Daemon tools, a cd/dvd emulation tool, that allows you to mount iso images as virtual drives. It also belongs to Alcohol 120% software. This software and Symantec may be in conflict.

We have also seen many, many people have issues with Daemon tools as well. You could do one of three things to attempt to bring stability:

1. Update the program.

2. Uninstall and reinstall the program.

3. Uninstall the program and don't reinstall. A number of people found this is the only recourse.

* Let us know what you decide to do and the results.

* Also, you should seriously consider updating to Service Pack 3.

I haven't had a chance to read your other minidump but the thing to keep in mind is that Norton is very well known to leave remnants of itself behind such as drivers. Now go to their website, find your particular version and use their special Removal Tool to make sure all things are removed.

Was this only the antivirus or did you have a full Security Suit?

thnz for ur reply
i dont have the full suite i only have antivirus which i had downloaded from website.
which specail removel tool u r talking abt? send me link i am sendin u the name of product symantec antivirus for cooperate edition 10.1.7000.7 for windows

i think ram is makin problem

Go to Symantec's website and do a search. Avast 4.8 free version is an excellent antivirus that you might want to check out.

As for RAM run Memtest. See this link and follow the instructions: https://www.techspot.com/vb/topic62524.html
Let it run for a LONG time. The rule is a minimum of 7 Passes; the more Passes after 7 so much the better.. There are 8 individual tests per Pass. Many people will start this test before going to bed and check it the next day.

If you have errors you have corrupted memory and it needs to be replaced.

Also, with errors you need to run this test per stick of RAM. Take out one and run the test. Then take that one out and put the other in and run the test. If you start getting errors before 7 Passes you know that stick is corrupted and you don’t need to run the test any further on that stick.

* Get back to us with the results.
