Does anybody know if products like in the title are coming to the market or already exist? I can't seem to find any info on them.

I'd like to get an external NVMe 4.0 storage drive that would make the most out of Thunderbolt 3 speed, on the latest Macbook Pro.

Ideally, some external Dual NVMe 4.0 - to - TB3 enclosure.

All I can find is the older enclosures based on PCIe 3.0, which would use only about half of what TB3 can deliver. There's now abundance of NVMe 4.0 drives, capable of 5GB/s and beyond.

A little background...

I am running a PostgreSQL v12 on my 2019 Macbook Pro 16", for some analytics, and some tables are just too huge for my internal SSD, which performs at 2.8GB/s. I want to re-partition some heavy tables onto external drive, without losing performance. Simple math suggests that if I use an existing TB3-to-NVMe 3.0, I will lose about 20% in performance, while if there were a TB3-to-NVMe 4.0, it would perform even better than my internal SSD.
