i voted for the cpu mobo memory combo... cant go wrong starting with those essentials... i have a case and 800w psu just waiting for it too...

Hello! Without further ado, my choice for the TechSpot Giveaway is the Apple iPad. This would be great for yourself or for gifting too!

I could really use an awesome vid card, my old 8800GTX does what it needs to, but I would love to win from the site i visit daily for updates.

Just wanted to say THANX TechSpot for giving the oportunity to win something.
I especially would love to win the SSD!! Im building a new system and SSD would be a perfect addition. However they are very expensive where I am so I cant afford it, but if you were to give me one then.... !!! =)

Cheers!!

The 27" monitor of course!
Even though the GeForce GTX 460 is also nice... My HD 4780 512mb can't keep up with that!
But I really need a new monitor, this one has a kind of strange resolution (1680x1050) and I don't like the look of it at all.

I voted CPU/mobo/memory combo, My gameing rig is in need of a serious upgrade and with the new baby this is just not going to happen anytime soon.
PS, hi my first post! :)

I'm so late to the party. I missed the announcement of this competition, and only noticed it due someone's comment. Which just goes to show I never visit the front page (that's because I subscribe to the RSS and visit specific news items through that). Of course I'd love to win something. I chose the iPad because it's something I'll never consider buying yet could be of some use.

I have voted for the GeForce GTX 460 mainly due to the fact that it has directX 11. Last year I upgraded my motherboard, processor, memory and graphics card. I currently have the ATI 4850 with 1 gb memory. I decided to take the plunge after waiting for a long period because technology keeps moving forward at such a pace and while my current setup is a good setup I would be interested in seeing the newer DirectX on some of the newer games I have recently bought.

how can there be 1697 votes and only 700 comments? are we allowed to vote every day?
I don't think so. I believe there has been some trolling of the poll. Hopefully, the TS crew can sort it out.
