In brief: Corsair has introduced a highly versatile modular desk that could be the last computer desk you ever need to buy. Revealed during Gamescom, the Corsair Platform:6 features a six-foot-wide primary work surface in your choice of classic dark walnut-stained rubberwood or black laminate.
Other standard features include dual monitor mounting arms, a modular rail system with a standard aluminum T-channel crossbar, a top-mounted rail, and side rails that are compatible with hundreds of aftermarket attachments and accessories, an oversized RapidRoute wire management tray, and an in desk storage cubby with USB Type A and Type C charging ports.
With the rail mounting system, Corsair even invites users to 3D print their own accessories for use with the desk.
The Platform:6 is all about customization, and there are plenty of options in that category. Side extensions measuring 30 cm x 70 cm (11.81 in x 27.56 in) can be installed on either side of the desk should you need more space, complete with optional hanging pegboards. Buyers can also opt for an adjustable height variant that includes dual electric motors to raise and lower the desk to the desired position via an under-desk controller sporting an LCD readout and push-button adjustments.
Corsair said the desk is ideal for gamers, content creators, and working professionals.

The Platform:6 will be available worldwide from the fourth quarter and comes backed by a five year warranty. Shoppers will be able to put together their own unique desk using the online configurator or choose from one of several predefined bundles.
Pricing has not yet been revealed but given its use of premium materials and the multitude of optional add-ons, it is probably not going to come cheap. I double checked with a Corsair rep who said that as he understands it, the higher-ups are still finalizing pricing. The rep added that he does not expect pricing to be revealed until closer to launch near the end of the year.
