The creator of Dogecoin says all crypto is a scam

I watched an interview with former Canadian prime minister Stephen Harper, an economist himself, several months back and he said that he holds absolutely no bitcoin currency in his portfolio because there is nothing backing it up. A nation's currency has the resources, people and industries of that nation to back it up. Bitcoin has nothing and is intrinsically worthless. Need anything more be said, other than the massacre is going to be awful to behold?

He says the rich control crypto and it's a scheme to make the rich richer but imagine, you ARE rich already, you have enough money to last you 10 lifetimes and then some, why bo
That should be patently obvious to anyone;
1: Because they can.
2: Because they ca afford to
3: because they feel like it.

It all follows Cranky's 1st & 2nd rules of human behaviour;

1: No matter how much you give someone, they'll always ask for more.
2: No matter how much someone has, they'll never have enough to satisfy themselves.

Cash is still the biggest transactional currency for crimes. That is a fact.

This ponzi scheme they talk about. Um, pretty sure the biggest ponzi scheme is the US Dollar and other like currencies.

If you can't see that, you have been successfully brain washed.

Gold was the standard and now it isn't, why? Because now they have infinite money propped up by people "saving" their long hour pennies while it gets devalued, meaning, the hours you worked last year are now worth less in the sense you work the same hours, you make less and also every penny you saved then it now also worth less.

Fed Reserve is the top of this pyramid ponzi, you are all the bottom feeders, told that crypto is bad because it continually is a better currency than FIAT. Fact.
The sad thing is, you all eat it up.
Bitcoin is for the people, Fed/USD is for the billionaires.

Yet, the world is run by the US Dollar, and has been for almost 100 years, and will continue to be run for the next 100 years with that same dollar.

Spoken like a man that eats up murdoch propaganda and welcomes the big fat from the gov straight to the rear.

This is your shitcoin.

And this is in the last few years.

I welcome the crash that is about to happen. Maybe people will wake up.

And yet, it continues to lose more than 2% purchasing power every year. I highly doubt it will be around in the next 50 years. Welcome to digital currency, wonder if you are younger enough to see it happen.
Unlike bitcoin which lost 50% of its value in the last monyh.

You need to have your posts removed by the mods. The metaphors are too obvious, and the opinions are ...well, fabricated to suit your agenda.

USD doesn't change in value effecting me personally from day to day. Your worldly trade value doesn't mean anything to me. I couldn't care less about trade value.
Yep, and neither do the rest of us. It's not our problem.
If everyone else is so tweaked by the dollar, then maybe the foundation should be built on the Ruble :joy:

Comedy for all.

Very few ultra rich people still have limits and morals and can keep in check their greed. Very, very few...

Most of them (over 99% of them) will burn the world and sell their soul to the devil if they could and if it would mean they and they alone could rule the entire world and population and have everything under the sun.

How can you possibly form an opinion on a group of people you don't know that much about? You've decided the very rich are evil greedy people based on the hand full of them discussed by traditional and social media. Do you think those media outlets make more or less money based on how truthful their discussions are? Media makes more money from drama and outrage than from presenting data and letting people form their own opinion. Do you know how many billionaire there are in the world (over 2500) and can you name 99% of them without looking it up? What makes you so much better than these people? Does having a lot of money somehow make someone evil?

I agree capitalism has a limited life remaining. IMO, it is unsustainable, and wealth is an illusion. The way I see it, civilization has not progressed beyond feudalism.
The people who make the rules are the same people who benefit from capitalism. It's unsustainable for normal people, but those who make the rules don't care about normal people. They don't care if you can't afford rent, they don't care if you can't afford food, they got money put aside for welfare and it's such a large number they'll throw it out to shut anyone up, even though it's only pennies for each person who can't afford to live and can't afford to get more education to get out of poverty.

Better? That's debatable, but I can tell you one thing about me: I would not want to be a millionaire or billionaire, even if I could.

You could offer me 1 million $ or 1 billion $ or the entire world, for that matter, and I would say NO, TY.

I know what more money than you need does to people. I've seen it on me and on others at different richness levels and I don't like it, at all. All I need is decent living and nothing else.

Yes, I do know how very very rich people are and no, I don't want or care to explain.

You can believe it or not, I don't really give a toss.

So you're pro censoring the ones that have a different opinion than you. Good to know.

Just FYI, he is 100% right.

Yet, the world is run by the US Dollar, and has been for almost 100 years, and will continue to be run for the next 100 years with that same dollar.
Not that you're going to believe me, but... I doubt the USD will be that relevant past 2025.
When :poop: hits the fan, don't say you weren't warned.

And all of this talk, people forget that crypto is the most free market out there, with no boundaries, no borders, no limitations, and fair transactions for everyone. If you want to fight against that, well, I don't know what to tell you, other than to go watch The Matrix (again).

The main problem in this world is that the ones that don't understand something are usually the loudest.

Yeah, and likewise we can always count on you siding with another crypto miner, And who said we had nothing in common? with you. shouting down those who don't believe in it.

You seem to have the future all figured out. Maybe you should have enrolled as "Nostradamus"..

Pretty much the only way crypto can be disposed of, is to convert it into the, "coin of the realm", unless you're trying to contract a murder on the dark web, it doesn't have that much value. And what do you think the killer will do with it? Probably convert it to US dollars..

As for your buddy's post, we can well live without him saying so & so going to stick it up your a**, , in so many words.

Musk seems to be able to screw with bitcoin's price to his heart's content. Even if the dollars devalues to 95 cents next week, it won't be worth 50 cents in the course of a month, the equivalent of bitcoin behavior.

Now run along and run up your electric bill.

At least I am not asking for mods to shut down opinions different than my own. I am free to say what I have to say. And despite our disagreements, I extend the same courtesy to you. But obviously you don't want to return the favor, and you want to use mods and shaming to shut people up. Not gonna happen.

At this point, having anything other than fiat is going to be a lifesaver. You don't have to buy crypto. Buy stocks, gold, land, whatever. Even 2nd hand cars and guns are better to have at this point. But if you want to keep believing in the dollar, go ahead. It's you who will pay the price ultimately.

I don't know the future. But I do know that specific actions have specific consequences.

You will peep differently soon enough.

Leaving this here for the ones interested;

He copied BitCoin, he created nothing. It's a meme coin and the dude is a joke.
When you create something with a $2,000,000,000 cap, THEN you can call him a joke and I'll be happy to take you seriously.

Honestly, I cannot see their drive for more, more, more without a fear of lack. Avarice likely has a part to play in the equation, however, if they did not fear being without, I cannot see them continuing to strive for more. However, I am sure all of them have forgotten what it is like to be poor if they ever knew what it was like.
Of course you can't see the drive because you don't have it and neither do I. I had it explained to me once by my mom (who is a retired parole officer with a degree in psychology). She said that it was an irrational psychological condition similar to workaholism or compulsive gambling.

It's like, they have a hole in their soul that they keep trying to fill with money but no matter how much they rake in, they're only happy for a short amount of time. Then they go chasing their fix the way any other addict would. The difference here is that their addiction harms others more than it harms themselves. You can imagine them as homicidal maniacs. They have no morals to speak of and their addiction kills others instead of themselves.
Right there with you.
I certainly agree that they are sick.
Yep, they sure are. I have to admit though, it's impossible for me to feel empathy for someone who I know has no empathy of their own.

I have asked this a dozen times. Never get a reasonable answer. So here it is again.
How is crypto a Ponzi scheme?
I'm not entirely sure about the validity of calling it a Ponzi scheme but there is one thing that it has in common with Ponzi:

The people who get in earliest tend to get the money of the people who get in latest and the people who get in latest tend to lose their shirts.

Beyond that, I don't know enough about it to make an intelligent response but I would think that this is the parallel that people are using to compare the two.

You are asking the guys who have no idea how crypto is really used or how it works. Just butt hurt about not being able to get a GPU and blaming crypto for it. Crypto exchange market is the same and has the same amount of risk as the stock market does. And don't come here and tell me how stocks are supposedly backed by something. It's not.. If you lose money you lose money.

Ugh, the worst PM that Canada has had since... hell, I really don't know because going all the way back to Pierre Trudeau from today, every Canadian PM has been better than:

I think that "awesome" is a better choice than "awful".
