You must be one of those ***** republicans who thinks everything can be solved with wars and acts that show America's great strength. This tactic may have worked a hundred years ago, but it doesn't work now. This is typical Donald Trump style thinking; they hit us hard, so we hit them twice as hard!
This kind of tactic has its place though... unfortunately you don't know that it was a better option until it is too late. Part of the problem too is the lack of definition for a "act of war". The definition obviously needs to change with the times as there is now a considerable level of cyber warfare taking place at this time but I would think any foreign government hacking into your government network and stealing secret information would be an act of war if it were to be judged the same as an equal physical action.

Not to mention that a certain man running for president gave as a reason for not running for president a few years back that he did not want to rub elbows with the "riff raff." I think it is amazing that there are so many out there that have short-term memories and think that man represents them.

The US has done a good job building high-power lasers that can shoot alot of things down - including incoming missiles as well as shells. Put a few of those on the nuclear powered ships that are out there, and that is a formidable weapon system. Something like that can also be land based, as well as mounted on lighter vehicles like humvees.
Who was certainly helped along by an *** for senate majority leader who publicly stated that his sole goal after the 2008 election was to make that president's tenure a failure. Yep. Patriotic is he who simply cannot work with anyone outside of his own party. The framers of America and the Constitution would be appalled at all of US guberment, and would probably challenge the leading candidates to a duel.
And on the flip-side, women will be forced to have the babies of their rapists.
