  1. The launch trailer for The Witcher 3’s second and final expansion pack, Blood and Wine, has just arrived, and it looks like we'll be getting a suitably fitting farewell for one of the greatest games in recent memory.

In terms of sheer size, Blood and Wine will dwarf the Witcher 3’s previous piece of DLC, the excellent Hearts of Stone. Developer CD Projekt Red says there will be 30 hours of gameplay for players to experience, making it bigger than most full-priced games.

The new area of Toussaint, a country filled with bright buildings and luscious scenery, adds some welcome color to a world containing so many gray, medieval-style locations. But despite the pretty looks, there are plenty of new evils for Geralt to face, including one that looks remarkably like a Dark Souls boss.

"For the last time become professional monster slayer Geralt of Rivia and explore Toussaint, a remote land untouched by war, where you will unravel the horrifying secret behind a beast terrorizing the kingdom," said CD Project Red.

Going into specifics, Blood and Wine will have 90 new quests, 40 new points of interest, 20 new monsters, 30 new weapons, and an all-new Gwent deck. Additionally, the Maximum New Game+ level will be upped to level 100.

The developer will now be focusing on its next game, Cyberpunk 2077. As for the world of the Witcher, it looks as if this is the last time we'll see Geralt of Rivia. "This is the end. Blood and Wine is [the] closing and there won't be any Witcher any time soon--if there ever will be one," said CD Projekt Red’s co-founder, Marcin Iwinski

The Witcher 3: Blood And Wine will be released for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One on May 31st.

I waited a whole year to play this game. I am 15 hours into it as of today and I am having a terrific time playing it. The game is absolutely engrossing and the art direction is simply fascinating.
