  1. My Dell Dimension 5100c is supposed to have USB 2.0... but it's complaining. The message says:

This USB device can perform faster if you connect it to a hi-speed USB 2.0 port. For a list of available ports, click here.

What device is it talking about??? All my ports are supposed to be USB 2.0! Is the message in error?

    When I click, I get a diagram that I don't understand.

Are my USB devices running at the 2.0 hi-speed or am I getting only 1.1 speed?

I've seen some explanations regarding this but I didn't understand them either! :(

Thanx in advance for any help! :)

First look in Device Manager under USB category.Do you see at least one controller listed as either a USB2 or as an "Enhanced Controller"? Those are the USB 2.0 controllers and you should have at least one listed. If not, it's a controller problem.
