Toshiba drives, RAID, and drive health tools

Hey all.
My first foray into RAID.
Considering the Toshiba 4gb 7200rpm, currently down to $110.
Several questions.

• It looks like it is getting decent reviews. Anyone know of issues?
• I can find nothing for it, like Seatools for Seagate. Anyone know of software that is compatible?
• Do drive health tools work properly on drives in a RAID array?

It looks like I am starting to find some answers...
even if not here... answers like...

• Toshiba drives seem to be acquired/rebranded Hitachi tech? (See evaluation at Backblaze)
  
• Toshiba looks not to be the best choice for RAID, because of (lack of) TLER if nothing else. (see discussion)
  
• Toshiba may not be the best choice in any case... as they don't have drive support on their website...

I got stuck in a loop, and could never get my inquiry sent.​

• For Drive Health Monitoring in RAID:

  • HDDScan or Here

So... now I am leaning back toward WD (Red).
Also, WD will provide a utility to enable TLER on Green; see discussion here.
This is an interesting listen on Red vs Green in NAS / RAID... which also clued me in to TLER. (This interview is over 3 years old.)
