Trump announces an additional 10 percent tariff on Chinese imports

Which is why I'm so disgusted and stand in support of any President that will stand for us. Technically it is not China Trump is in protest against. It is big business that supports non-American labor.

Except Trump is not standing with the American worker, he never has. Under Trump more jobs have gone over seas then previous administrations and those stats are from the Labor Department. Trump does not go after big business, he tweets about how great the stock market is doing but its doing great because big companies are doing four things;

1) increasing new revenue streams by buying up smaller business
2) keeping labor costs down through layoff and use of contractors who receive no benefits
3) keeping minimum wage down
4) getting more tax breaks

How does any of the above help American labor? I know how it helps the S&P 500 and my investment portfolio.

Trump uses China as the boogie man to gullible people who swallow it up. The real people who have screwed American labor are the politicians and executives of the companies. China has its issues (human rights is a four letter word in china) but corrupt politicians (especially people like Trump) are far more dangerous to the USA.

I will not disagree with the quoted text above. As for the rest, I think you are delusional.

we pay the tarrifs and then pass the cost on to you.
We are not paying a dime more, than it would have cost us to make the products ourselves. I seriously don't care if prices go up. Prices need to continue going up until we start seeing more American made products again. Sadly we have not reached that point yet, because manufacturers still see cheaper options in other countries.

Correct, you'd have to impose something like a 200% tariff on all foreign countries just to make it worthwhile to produce in the USA. At that point you have to ask yourself if the minimum wage jobs that would bring are worth the hassle. Not to mention the certain retaliatory tariffs. I'm pretty sure there aren't enough unemployed Americans to even fill those jobs. Jobs aren't the problem in the US, getting enough money to live a decent life is. Increasing the cost of goods for everyone while offering nothing but jobs that can't pay enough money to live off is not a solution, it's just kicking everyone further down the hole.

At this point whatever deal that is cut needs to be fruitful for the american people as the increased cost of goods, farmer bailout, and loss of trade contracts are effecting Americans now and will continue to do so in the future. If this turns out like the NAFTA deal trump cut with Canada, getting pennies on the dollar for the dairy industry does not nearly begin to cover the cost of the dispute.

This.

Tell that to the people who make minimum wage and can barely survive.

American companies choose to have American products made in China thus shipping American jobs overseas and real Americans blame China for this?

Total bullcrap!
I strongly agree although this a strategy by trump to limit the massive imports from china. In the same way he is trying to save the US businesses by balancing the trade deficit.

China does pay them, you just don't understand how tariffs work. Your comment shows your mental age, but kudos for watching his MAGA rally -us "racist followers" appreciate it.
I write a check for tarrifs each week as we import goods from China from several factories so I know EXACTLY how tarrifs work unlike you snowflakes. China does not pay a dime, we pay the tarrifs and then pass the cost on to you.

Snowflakes, that's rich coming from a Trump hater. You seem bitter that he's in office and making good on his promises that got him elected, plain and simple. Try finding another politician that does that AFTER getting elected.

1) stock market up (whether you play the game or not)
2) consumer confidence at all time highs
3) strong GDP growth
4) fossil fuel production is up (coal, oil, NG, etc)
5) lowest minority unemployments

*All of Trump's policies may not directly affect me, but at least he's doing fighting for the good of this country and not selling us to the lowest bidder (like Clinton and her Uranium One deal, one of many examples, should you have preferred her over Trump).

You can hate the man all you want, he's human and makes mistakes, but the results speak for themselves.

<...> (like Clinton and her Uranium One deal, one of many examples, should you have preferred her over Trump).
Where is your hard evidence? BTW speculation and conjecture do not count for hard evidence.

And how many investigations of Clinton were there in the Republican lead congress? And just how many times did they find the hard evidence with which to charge her with a crime?

I know. She is magic witch that cast a spell over congress such that things turned out in her favor.
If you repeat a lie often enough, people will believe it, and you will even come to believe it yourself.
That's a famous quote by Joseph Goebbels. I assume you do know who he was?
Here is some more interesting quotes of his. https://www.azquotes.com/author/5626-Joseph_Goebbels

BTW your name calling will get you nowhere.

Yes. Kind of like trying to remove a tick that has embedded itself in your skin by cutting away all the skin around the tick instead of carefully pulling out the tick with a tweezers or placing a drop of oregano oil on the tick.

But it not level. China announced they would start buying wheat and soybeans from Russia. I live in Arkansas and soybean farmers are going bankrupt. The farmers were told by the government they could not rely on the cash subsidies tRump gave out earlier this year. They were told to either find a new market or grow something else. So I would not tell a farmer in Arkansas how even it is. You might get hurt.
A refreshing voice from the front lines.

Trump followers are not simple minded.

Some - probably many - of them undeniably are simple minded. I think a sizeable portion of voters on both sides on the political divide can see that. It's not suprising given that the man (Trump) has never said anything actually intelligent in his entire public life.
Edit: typos and such.

No more so than the other side of the divide. It doesn't matter what debate you have. There will be equal levels of IQ on both sides. Yet he seems to be suggesting there are no mindless non-Trump supporters. It is a matter of perspective. And now that my comments have been deleted, I demand his insult be removed as well.
