Trump unveils aggressive AI plan focused on deregulation, dismisses copyright payments for AI training

Another software category in which US is going to leave the world in the dust.

Except this one will have far greater military and economic dominance consequences than anything before.

Unfortunate, but also predictable.

AI has become the biggest act of plagiarism in human history.
Laws and legal questions aside, it is literally about the richest putting his hand into thousands, no millions, of far less fortunate and taking their stuff to sell themselves.
"Bro, chill, it is AI training, therefore it is ok that I will sell your ability and creativity myself."

Disclaimer, I am not an AI opposer. But I am more than certain that there must be regulations, that every piece of art, book, or music scanned must be paid for. I do not say that we must push AI companies with such heavy regulations that they all crumble. Instead, I say that as AI companies grow, people whose work was used for training also get a share.

Let's be real. Copyright laws became a burden to human discovery and any kind of progress.

When was the last time your phone didn't looked like a glorious pack of butter? Last real innovation was a decade ago. Nobody wants to **** with copyrights.

So, poor students have to pay for all the books, multibilion companies do not.

USA keeps the love for money and slavery strong.

And for the comments about copyright laws. They do not going away. They are here even more. You have to follow them and you go to jail if you torrent a movie. Unless you're a corporation. Let's that sink in.

That's why Chinese tech overtakes US in the world. They innovate, US prosecute.

Please, read more about technology. Such as ARM licensing, for example. Your Phone may have many of then.

Seem's like Trump would Kill Jesus to search for Petroleum is his blood.

Its not just about limits, but about thinking of a limitless world.
When scalpers bought as many PS5/RTX as they wanted and re-sell it at much higher prices, they payd the price for each equipement to the ones responsible for it production, making possible to keep the production.
So whats the point of writing a book if AI can rob your work and re-sell it to many without any of them paying you? With little to no gains in sight, many books wont be written.

Hoping I can say this without invoking the wrath of the admins here, Trump is a twit who shouldn't be trusted with an apple core, let alone the oval office. The statements made in the press release above prove that. The US is in trouble..
Nah it's not, you and everyone else just love chugging that TDS juice then complain about it.

I agree that copyright is important as it helps to discover and foster talent. But times are changing and if we don't keep up we'll fall behind again. China took over the manufacturing World, and yes the greedy companies are to blame, but it happened. The truth, we still need to import from China as it will never end.

Both parties will need to have a reasonable compromise. There are no International Copyright Laws but agreements with Countries, but each Country has it's own laws and crossing International borders for enforcement will be difficult. Of course some member Countries are two face so that is that. Just my thoughts.
