Turtle beaches and xbox

Hi, today I just bought a pair of Turtle Beaches X31 and I can only hear everyone talk just not the ingame sound itself. My xbox is currently hooked up to my hd widescreen computer monitor. I have the cable that allows me to do it and the other connectors so i can use my speakers. I dont know whats going on. And every minute or so I hear 3 low pitched crackles. Any help would be great.

okay well i fixed the ingame noise sound but i still hear the 3 low pitch crackles that interfere with my sound
