I get the idea of a vaccine. However, there's another concern, too. That is what was brought up when people were claiming it was created in a lab in China.Unfortunately, more specifically to the case of this virus, corona viruses like SARS and MERS tend to only grant temporary and mild immunity to the people who catch it and recover from it. There have already been some reports of people being re-infected, but we are only 3.5 months in, so it may take some time to pin down what the risk of re-infection actually is. But it may actually result in COVID19 being seasonal until a vaccine is developed.
The one quote I remember from an "expert" about the probability of it being developed in a lab was something along the lines of - "The viruses in nature that we don't know about are the problem."
So, a vaccine for COVID-19 might be developed and it might work. Then then next unknown comes along.
