HDD: uninstalled from Seagate 30Gb / trying to install on Seagate 1Tb

Trying to install TR-AOD from the CD onto another Drive (other than my C: Drive) after deleting / uninstalling the game which was running just fine. A quick search here got to this post https://www.techspot.com/vb/search.php?searchid=2137095
And from there to a linked site which was http://consumerdocs.installshield.com/selfservice/viewContent.do?externalId=Q108340&sliceId=1 however some of the links on this page are not working. Have tried most of what was suggested eg. /TRAOD_PC_PATCH_V42/ and /TRAOD_V52_Patch/ as well as some of the unlocking of hidden files / administrator rights etc
Can anyone assist further
Any suggestions

Error 1324. The path ? contains an invalid character

Was able to fix this, although the why it happened still eludes me?
<- left click on "Start"
<- scroll up to "Settings" from the pop up menu click "Control Panel"
<- left click on "User Accounts"
<- left click on "Create a new account"
<- follow the prompts through to create the new account
<- left click on "Start"
<- left click on "Shut Down"
<- from the pop down menu "log of Ucould2"
<- type in the new account details and passwords then left click "OK"
Once I had completed this procedure I was able to Uninstall TRAOD, and after preparing the HDD (including restart). I was able to Install this game and "Command & Conquer - Generals" which were both suffering from the "Error 1607: Unable to InstallSheild Scripting Runtime" as well as "Error 1324. The path ? contains an invalid character" ( this lead me to this page at M S http://social.answers.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/vistagaming/thread/3331230e-565d-447a-a765-dc9575827692/ ) :D:wave:

So am i correct that it sounds like you fixed the problem
Yes "Command and Conquer-Generals" is now under-way !
your old profile is corrupted. In which case you'd be best to move your stuff to the new profile
I was thinking that it would be a good idea to migrate all my games short-cut trees which all now reside on the new HDD, only accessing them in the new profile. And keep the other profile going to work in eg. Email, YouTube & Forums etc. But if you believe there is a major corruption issue then I will consider it more, closely, objectively closing out the old profile!
It would be good to know what caused the issue initially so it can be avoided in the future anyway it sounds like a good excuse to do a Backup (not that I should need a particular reason to)
Thanks
