This problem is a result of SOMETHING resetting log files all over to "read-only" status! Most of the XP home is OK now except for the uSoft updates appearing like they install only to reoccur and the log marks them as failed. Any idea what .log may be conflicted? What caused this? Everything else is A-OK.
