US to UK Move

Hi all

just wanted to know if a PC bought in US and was running on 110, if i flick the switch to 240 on the back of the pc's power supply buy a UK kettle/mains lead will it work ?

I didnt know if the mobo, gfx card etc were all the same and its just the voltage thats an issue

Hope that makes sense

HUH? Desktop or minitowers that have the 110/240 switch will allow that system to be used in North America (using the 110) or the UK (using the 240). You only need the right power cord or cord adaptor to fit the wall socket
 
:big grin: like lifts, bonnets, boots, chips and crisps -- it's all English but the dialects are disjuct :)

The M/B connects to the power supply connects to the kettle connects to the wall socket;
ie the M/B is totally isolated. You're good to go.
