Hi guys. Basically we have Be There internet at my student house and just taking the router home over the break to see if I can get wireless at home. I've got a BeBox WiFi router (Thomson TG585 v7) and was wondering if it would be possible to use it with another broadband supplier (specifically BT).

I've plugged the thing in but it refuses to give let my laptop connect to the router settings, both wireless and ethernet give limited / no connectivity and 192.168.1.254 and http://dsldevice.lan don't go to the router settings pages.

The set up is also different from the default Thomson TG585 v7 help manual, I guess Be There have put something on it meaning it can be used only with their internet, or is there a way around this?

Many Thanks.

Miles

connect all the devices using a wired connection
Code:
modem---router---system
get a command prompt (run->cmd)
enter tracert www.google.com
The first node will report your router's IP address

Now use it in a browser to get to the config page
eg: 192.168.1.1/

Okay here's the results of a tracert and ipconfig /all:

You need to disable IPv6
