How am I to interpret this diagram?

1. I don't have Facebook
   
2. I'm not a sports fan
3. I eat very little Mexican food
4. I rarely stub my toe, much less twice

And whats with "short-lived" and "prolonged", does this mean everyone suffers a great deal of time more than they are happy?
