Walmart automation will eliminate 7,000 jobs

Wal-Mart ? I don't care who or how many. Now if we talk about the Empire Mine closing that bothers me a great deal. 400 good paying American jobs.....pfffft! Must be do to one of those great trade agreements we signed.

Today it's walmart. Tomorrow it's your job.

A lot more jobs than one might think are candidates for robot replacement.

Talk crap now. Cry tomorrow.

Learn to sell. Diversify your skill set. Profit.

Bank on your job. Say it won't happen to you. Collect unemployment.

It's a very simple way of looking at this mayor problem. I advise you, and others, to watch the short film on YouTube called Humans need not apply. Yes, it is important to keep yourself fit for employers. But robots are taking over in a speed that will make it a painfull transition. And large amounts of people will, or simply cannot deal with this transition. Lots of new opportunity's will be an a higher level then lots of people poses.

Not everyone, however, is excited about the change. One employee that has been with Walmart for more than 20 years making $15 an hour doing invoicing said they are getting their resume together because a move back to the store floor isn’t appealing.

Oh BOO HOO, you have to deal with the general public. For ****s sake at least you have a damn good paying job.

Your remark shows precisely why dealing with shoppers like you is not everyone's cup of tea or any other hot beverage!

Actually, I'm a very courteous shopper. I'm kind to people around me. I'm considerate and stay out of the way even for some I can tell are in a hurry. I even pull a cart from outside in with me, and I at least always put the cart in the cart bins, sometimes I've even put them back inside. I'm polite to the workers and to the other shoppers. Not to mention all the other traits that make a kind individual. I haven't a clue what your remake may be truly saying. Shoppers like me would be a good thing, I assure you if more people were like me when they go out shopping, it would be a much more pleasant experience for everyone. ;)

I have no control over the way people interpret my comment, but I assure you it's skewed in some way. Or that it's just the first comment, possible the only comment that you've read.

Unfortunately, with automation, he won't for too long. We'll remember to "boo-hoo" (really? pretty inane!) for you when r2d2 is doing your gig.
