I have a really weird problem that has been happening for about a week and I can not seem to fix it. It happened randomly one day and has held true since then. Nothing has been changed.
I have Verizon DSL and one computer can connect to the internet fine, through a Linksys WRT54G...anyone of the three computers can. However, when a second computer attempts to connect the connection hangs up on Connecting to WAN Miniport PPPOE and eventually fails with an Error 678.
Things I've attempted to fix the problem:
Called Verizon and they say the line tests are perfect.
Switched the router from a Linksys Switch (EZXS88W) to a Linksys Wireless Router (WRT54G).
Got a new modem from Verizon.
Checked all computers for spyware.
No avail. any help would be great but I'm getting to my wits end!
