A warning for anyone looking to buy a new Sony laptop. I spent six hours today with Sony's online chat and phone support only to find out I discovered a major bug in the latest Sony VAIO.
The new model is VPC-EE23FX/T. I got it at Walmart last night for my boss who just trashed his old Sony. Because of some sort of bug in Sony's recovery wizard this model can not be customized. In my case I uninstalled office 2010 but when restarting the recovery wizard pops up and forces a recovery wiping out changes I had made. Sony couldn't say what other changes may trigger the recovery wizard and wipe out user data. Until this problem can be fixed suggest avoiding this model.
