Jensen would have hired data and financial analysts to be able to set a price that matches the supply he chooses to provide and the demand that gamers choose to have, taking into account the information asymmetry that always favours the corporation over a single individual or gamer community.
It would take an unnatural act, like a boycott, to upset the analysis of these paid professionals. But if the boycott is maintained only by those who already wouldn't buy anything, then it really is already accounted for in the analysis...
