Fan films can be a bit hit and miss, but the people behind YouTube channel Corridor have come up with some top-quality shorts recently. Fresh from its amazing Real Mario Galaxy video comes the brilliant GTA VR, starring none other than Steve Ogg - the same actor whose voice and likeness made up crazed GTA V anti-hero Trevor Philips.

As it’s Grand Theft Auto, the amount of swearing in the video makes it Not Suitable For Work, though that may depend on your employer. Unlike a lot of similar, fan-produced movies, it doesn’t skimp on production values, and the acting from Ogg - who’s in remarkably good shape - and Sunny Jain is excellent.

The plot imagines GTA V as a virtual reality game. By using some impressive “Model T2000” VR glasses from “Googel, Tesela, Appel, Verzine,” Jain’s character is transported into Grand Theft Auto V’s Los Santos, with Trevor walking him through the game’s tutorial.

There are plenty of references to the fourth best-selling game of all time, including the mods that create the Iron Man suit, the wanted rating, and even some PvP action. Just make sure you stick around for the twist at the end.

As for the game version of the famous franchise; it was reported back in March that Rockstar was working on GTA VI’s early stages of development, though it’s likely to be a very long time before we get our hands on it. And while the elusive GTA V single-player DLC would be welcome news, it seems Rockstar is making so much money from GTA Online that it’s decided to focus on the multiplayer element of the game instead.
