I think what's sadder is that people don't realize the root cause of all this.

Inflation is accelerating, supplies of things as basic as lumber are also skyrocketing in price, and labor is in short supply. All the *****s that cavalierly said shutting down the global economy over COVID-19 just had to be done are now discovering the consequences of doing so. It's only going to get worse.

They're all schemes when you look at the big picture. Crypto is not only difficult to mine for profit, but highly unstable and very bad for the environment. It will never replace hard currency and is only favorable to hackers and dark web users to leave no trace when buying, trading, and holding companies for ransom. Looking at the wealthiest people in the world, none were made by investing in crypto. If it were feasible the wealthy would have a massive market share of crypto beyond what the average retail meme-stock consumer can afford. Instead, they're investing in actual prospects that are bringing in the money on a regular basis. It's ironic, you'd think people would emulate what the wealthy do to acquire more wealth and not the exact opposite and then wonder why you're losing more money than gaining and run off to reddit with the other "crypto-bros" and gaggle on about "hodling", "dummy-hands" (I mean "diamond"...), "apes", "too the moon", and "paper hands" in attempt to console themselves with like-minded "investors" who are fishing for a pipe dream that will never become reality, while the "paper hands" steady make bank on the regular.

No one forced you or my friend to overpay for something neither of you need to survive to warrant constant complaints from behind a keyboard.

There is more demand than supply so someone is going to make a killing.
Out of designers, manufacturers, AIBs, distributors, retailers and resellers I would rather designers and manufacturers like Nvidia, AMD, Samsung and TSMC make the extra profit because at least they are investing in new technology and making better things.
That at least creates incentive for better products and more factories to be built, distributors and retailers are adding no value.

The 6800 is a great card - and will get better and better - Already big improvements shown in last weeks - I got a 3080 for raytracing - but AMD has improved framerates with it's new upsizing function coming .
I also do encoding so Nvidia is better - but Intel is better again - 6800 is will only get better than 3080 in fps going forward - as developers , AMD all aim to leverage PC/PS5/Xbox .
If you really want raytracing - then buy next years - as the 3080 will look poor to those natively - but tricks will keep it in the game . plus Nvidias encoding is so so - they will need a serious upgrade .
The 4080 and 7800 on better nodes , better everything will blow this years stuff out of the water.
AMD is looking to have a killer card next year- so Nvidia will need to up game to just compete

Fascism is when you have an organization (Government or Corporation) forcing its will over the weaker individual.

Well the 6800 has great fps from day one - AMD keeps improving them going forward - so that's worth waiting for - the 5700 etc owners seem pretty happy with all their improvements . Anyway the competition in the GPU space is hotting up - so a win for you and everyone - like I said next years AMD cards are predicted to fantastic - so even Nvidia fan boys will win - with either better cards and/or competitive prices . Nvidia or Intel won't do much for you without AMD - so that's why your comments are perverse - simply put a competitive AMD helps blinkered Nvidia fan boys

If Biden would follow China's lead and ban cryptography as currency, making it a federal offense to trade or make, this would be over in a month. It is in the hands of nation-states to put this issue to rest. How cryptography as currency helps any nation is beyond my meager grasp of reality.
