Female cats are brutal. I refuse to own one. I've had a string of neutered males, who've been wonderful company over the years. But the gals...noooooo thank you.

If that sounds too harsh, I'll explain. (Supposedly), the males trend toward bonding to one person, while the females tend to bond to families. Since I live alone, me and the guys become great friends. In fact, my current Maine coon, will walk on a leash until he sees another person, then he freaks out. Other than at the vets office, I haven't seen anyone who he'll let near him! Got him @ 1 year, he's 3 1/2 now...

Your pets sound awesome! It's our dogs who actually adopted miss kitty, we just woke up one day that we have a kitten that our dogs are nursing. And now she thinks she's a dog.

3 x 12". Black & Tan Beagles .for small game hunting.
A Black cat.that hurts.shrews,mice,voles,and,even saw a rat .that she had killed.she keeps the 3 beagles on high alert .all the time.

We have three "domestic" cats now. I hate them, but they don't know it. What can you do? Then there is the big dog, opossums, rats, moles, mice, coons, armadillos, birds, coyotes, deer, rabbits, cougars,,, the list goes on. I think we feed them all at some point. But I will never have another bloody cat.
