Weekend Open Forum: What kind of monitor do you use?

it worked okey but well bit annoying to move my *** 4 meters to the telly lol
Would that rig allow you to feed entertainment content to the TV alone?

'Cause I see a great HTPC opportunity, if you'd be willing to "suffer" with only the 3 Dell (?) on the desktop?

Dual monitor setup, main screen is a 30" Apple Cinema Display 2560x1600, secondary Acer B273HU 2048x1152

Still using my 60" Sharp Aquos 1080p TV as my monitor. It works for now, but am waiting for the 1080Ti to be released, then I'll get those in SLi and a 70" 4k as replacement.

I just transitioned to a BenQ GW2765HT 27" 1440p monitor from 1080p and I LOVE it. I'll never go back to 1080p.

I second that. Just picked up the same monitor last month. My desk only has room for a single monitor so I went with this one. Use it mainly for Lightroom and some modest gaming. Was trying hard to stay under $300, and this was the best I could find near that price point. It replaced a frozen Acer K272HULbmiidp that I had purchased refurbished.

I had an unknown chinese tv 22" 1920x1080 as my monitor. It served me well for about 2 yeras and than it died. After that I bought a Phillips 21,5" 1920x1080 to repace it. It was cheap and has dvi out. No problems so far and the picture is nice with my amd HD 7770. Its still my main monitor.

Acer 23.8" 1080P IPS with 4ms. Gorgeous and fast. I don't need larger and don't think I'd notice most resolution. Only cost $109 over a year ago too.

Dell Ultrasharp monitors, both at work and at home.
U2415 at work, full HD, great for those spreadsheets.
U2515H at home, great for gaming in 1440p

Love the integrated USB hub, it's great for managing the cables for the mouse, KB.

Iiyama ProLite XB2779QS - 27" 2560 x 1440 IPS monitor at 60Hz. A lovely size for gaming on and the extra resolution (if you're coming from 1080p or lower) is great for when required to do work.

Still on the same Dell 2407WFP (A04 revision I think) I've been using since around 2007. It's 24" and has a native resolution of 1920 x 1200 (1200P).

Until there are HDR, IPS monitors at 1440P or 1600P with Freesync in roughly the same size class, or unless my monitor suddenly gives out, I have no intention of replacing it.

Asus VK278Q 1080p. It's proved to be a great and reliable monitor over the years. But now I want more resolution and am going for an ultrawide 34" curved monitor. Haven't decided which one yet.
