If the law 'in the land of the free i.e. US' was as powerful as you say it is, then a police officer wouldn't be telling a labor rights supporter that 'First Amendment is an old law' ........ go figure.
Now law is only as potent as someone want it to be, do you know that the same CIA (I am sure others are too) have been given powers to troll through your garbage bins (without a warrant) during the night if they think you are a security threat? I am sure you don't and that is the most less intrusive of things I am telling. But don't worry, if things continue to make progress in this direction, I wouldn't be surprised to see enactment of laws similar to Nazis. All the while your so called 'leaders' make merry while helping their wealthy masters to tighten their noose even further to milk every last drop of blood from working classes.
And to the Canadians, at least they treat humans as one should, unlike your pitiful pothole, where the big business with help of governments and the right wing politicians continue to drumbeat benefits of capitalism, whereas, in reality they are supporting the biggest socialism project on the planet i.e. US military (which by the way doesn't want to follow or abide by any law, national or international). Talk about contradictions and paradoxes ......
