What do you think of the 9800GT?

The 9800GT is basically a 55nm version of the 8800GT. So performance differences between the two will depend more on the core and memory frequencies than anything else. The HD 4830 released recently is a slightly more powerful variant, but slightly more expensive too. Not a bad card certainly, and it can handle almost all games out there pretty well.

65nm...the old ones are 90nm i think.

Even at 65nm, thing still gets a little warm. Maxes out at about 66C on bioshock all the way up.

Nope, the 9800GT is 55nm, older ones are 65nm. But that temp is quite cool IMO for a newer-gen card. Does the fan spin up to full under load? If it does, it must be pretty loud.

IDK why, but gpu-z says its 65nm....anyways.

When I first turn on my computer, you can hear the gpu fan at full blast, it is loud. But it goes up incrementally with the temp. Never been at full blast before under a game.
