Which icon to delete spam

On my iPad which of those do I use to dump the spam

NONE of those are SPAM controls. The trash can will delete whatever is selected, however

If anybody has an iPad2 & can tell me what those icons do, I NEED to know because some newsletters I've been getting haven't arrived. I've checked the blocked addresses area & nothing is in there. The newsletters are no where to be found, thank you.

@bazz2004 can you identify the icons in my first post? I was reading a computer newsletter on my iPad when my hand evidently touched one of them & it disappeared. I have not found it any place in any folder. I even tried finding it using my desktop to no avail. It has literally "disappeared". Very confused.

The trash can one is 'delete', but like jobeard said, none of those are to mark as spam.

Ok, but like I said, I've checked every folder & that email/newsletter has literally vanished. I'm be confused as to where it went.

Yes. Every folder I have has been checked many times. One helluva mystery.

There are alternative alternative mail apps in the Apple Store that are free. You'll find more options with them including spam filters. I didn't find anything I liked better than the default one already installed so have stayed with it and just delete spam.
