Win 2000 Pro BSOD on boot

I am unable to boot my windows 2000 pro . I get a bsod with the following info.
windows\system32\drivers\sbp2port.sys is missing or corrupt. I can not enter safe mode either.- same bsod. I want to get pictures off of the hard drive . I have a windows 2000 pro with a valid key. It will boot the cd. Cannot repair because I have no ERD. Can someone guide me to try to boot this computer? Thanks

Doing a "repair" via ERD possibly could cause loss of data.
A reinstall of windows will cause loss of data.

I would suggest using the Recovery Console in order to replace the faulting driver.

You can get to the Recovery Console by booting with the Windows 2000 CD.
The Recovery Console will require you to enter the password for the local administrator's account if used on W2K Professional or a member server.

After Starting the recovery console, you can explore the Windows CD to find the needed driver.
The bad/damaged driver on your system should be here
C:\WINDOWS\ServicePackFiles\i386\
If you find it in other locations, it may possibly be an indication of malware.

On your Windows CD it may be in a similar "directory".

See if you can copy the file on your cd to the file on your hard-drive, over writing it.
Then reboot, and see if your problem is resolved.

If not, let me know exactly what has taken place, and we will try the next step.
If these instructions are not detailed enough, please let me know what you do not understand.
