I appreciate the help.I donloaded farbar and put it in the flash drive but the problem is when I open the boot options it says BOOTMGR is compressed press ctrl+alt+del to restart, so I do and now it keeps repeating even if I dont press f8 again. What happened?

I don't think you're booting to USB if you're getting that message.

We can try something more simple.
You can run the following from safe mode...

Please download Farbar Recovery Scan Tool and save it to your desktop.

Note: You need to run the version compatibale with your system. If you are not sure which version applies to your system download both of them and try to run them. Only one of them will run on your system, that will be the right version.
  • Double-click to run it. When the tool opens click Yes to disclaimer.[/*]
  • Press Scan button.[/*]
  • It will make a log (FRST.txt) in the same directory the tool is run. Please copy and paste it to your reply.[/*]
  • The first time the tool is run, it makes also another log (Addition.txt). Please attach it to your reply.[/*]

My laptop is 32 bit, I downloaded the farbar on a different computer and saved it on my flash drive. The problem is that the infected computer isn't even turning on anymore. It just shows the hp logo then says bootmgr is compressed press ctrl+alt+del to restart and it repeats just that. :(

I have a windows cd ill get to that as soon as I can. In the mean time I was wondering if u could help with another problem I have with my other laptop. The internet isn't working in it, and its been shutting down by itself, a pop up comes up but its too fast to read, then the screen goes blue and it shuts off. Could this also be a virus?
