Windows 7 XP mode

i have a win 7 pro 64bit machine. i have gone to virtual machine XP mode and need to update my internet explorer to IE8 on the XP mode do i need 32 bit or 64bit t/you rkfjr

32 bit will work fine.

The only one that will work is the 32-bit version. XP Mode is a 32-bit version of Windows XP SP 3. The final question on the Virtual PC FAQ explains the reasons for this, however I can't post links yet... so just do a search for Virtual PC FAQ and you will find it.
