Windows admin password

I recently purchased some computers at a local auction, the computers were used on a domain server and locked with an administrative password . The computers are operating on windows xp. I downloaded the Orphcrack and created the CD, but how do I get the computer to boot from the CD, I cannot get past the password screen even when I insert the CD. Will I need to wipe the hard drive or is there something else that I can try?

Make sure you burned it as an image, not just a data CD and be sure the boot sequence in the BIOS is set up so your CD drive is checked for a bootable disk before your HDD.
