Windows cannot access device path or filename

G'day,

I have started getting this error on almost all executables since I uninstalled NavHelper.

I have no idea how NavHelper got installed, but it all seemed suspicious to me.

I suspect that something has altered permissions in the registry on all executables.

I would like to avoid reinstalling all my apps

Is there an easy way to detect what has happened and rectify it please?

I use Windows XP PRO

Detecting what has happened is a tedious task for a normal user...so u can go for the option of restoring windows to a earlier time that is safe ,before u have installed the nav helper may be that should help...another option is that if u have the registry backups then u can clear the registry problems...
