Windows cannot format my thumb drive

I have a 2gb cruzer micro thumb drive and it has worked before in the past but I needed to use it for a windows boot disk and that requires fat32 format, I formatted it to that and now that all of the files are off of it windows tells me every time I plug it in that it needs to be formatted so I click format and it says “windows was unable to complete the format” any suggestions would be great.





Ok I just figured it out. Use the windows disk and go into the partiton manager and reformat it there and turn the computer off before it starts installing windows

It can be known to recover Flash drives that are un-responsive too.
