Windows Live Mail error

Forgive me if I have this post in the wrong place. I use Windows 7 along with Windows Live Mail (like the old Outlook). I use IMAP to transfer email from the web provider (ie GMAIL) to my Live Mail. So far so good, until...

One of the accounts now will not load spam unless I go directly to the GMAIL site account and empty the SPAM box there. Then, when I go back to Live Mail, it works (for a short while, then it starts all over again).

This is the message I get:

Unable to send or receive messages for the XXXXX XXXXX account. Header download for the 'Spam' folder did not complete. Could not download new messages from the IMAP server.

Server Response: The server did not respond to this IMAP command before the connection was terminated.
Server: 'imap.gmail.com'
Windows Live Mail Error ID: 0x800CCC0F
Protocol: IMAP
Port: 993
Secure(SSL): Yes

I have checked the Microsoft website and well as generically researched it online and don't see any fixes. Any ideas? Thanks. Sorry for trouble.

OK, see this post was moved to more appropriate section. Thanks and sorry for trouble. DH
