Windows update woes continue, this time slowing down Nvidia GPUs

When I had my I5 3340 with a 1050TI, I moved over to Linux because after an update windows gave problems with my multi monitor setup. As I am a web developer, I need 3 screens. Setup was 2 from gpu and 1 from igpu. When ever I plugged in my IGPU it would disable my 1050TI. Just jgave them the good ol middle finger and went over to linux. I had no issues in Linux. I really wanna know who their update developer are. They went from ok to little crap to totally garbage.

0 problems since I installed that update...
But wanted to test to see if anything changes when I uninstall and there is no uninstall option for that update lol

I added Mint as a dual boot today.

I’m still tied to Windows for some things but I’m distancing myself from this dumpster fire as much as I can without wasting all my free time on it.

Goodluck!

Its been 7 years since I completely moved onto Linux, and now have all PCs running various distros (PopOS! Cosmic on this one). Fast, Rock solid stable and secure. Some effort and perseverance can help.

Yes. Good luck.

I'll need some too. Just yesterday looked into Mint, and joined their community/forum. Early days,
but when I get around to making a new uber build (prob in 2027 due to DDR - other hardware prices.) W11 isn't a consideration. Using W10 now, but by next year, mmmm?

New gaming PC running on Mint only. That's the plan. Wish me luck folks!

My W10 works without issues; but I do not play games on it. I do stream video regularly.
My W10 still works without any issues too. Still it works great with games. Zero issues.

I don't stream but you do. Very glad to hear that's fine too.

I'll be sticking with W10 until games apps etc lose W10 support. Then anything except W11.

I think W10 has a fair bit of life yet before it's unviable. (MSlop dropping support was a big positive - it's stable.)

Several weeks ago, I started experiencing “screen flickering” on semi dark static images. Blamed it on a recent AW3225QF firmware update. Good info here.

Exactly, once it's truly unsupported and hindering me, then it's time for a new OS.
I use Win 11 for work - bloated garbage and flawed.

I'll btch a little - in Explorer they took away "send to" and replaced it with "share". I'm constantly sending files to multiple recipients; however, in their infinite wisdom, MS made it so you can only send the file to ONE recipient. It doesn't allow you to add more - grayed out recipient box once it autofills. lolololol GENUIS MS! Now I have to manually create a new email, add recipients and drag-drop the files into it. MASSIVE STEP BACKWARDS! *&^$%*^$%#

It's all these little annoying things they did and the removal of proven, useful, older features that sucks.
