Windows XP constantly rebooting

Greetings,

My computer got infected with the 2012 xp antvirus virus the otherday. I was having trouble getting it removed from my computer so (whether this was the right choice) I entered safemode, and was able to do a system restore. Everything seemed to be working fine. I went and installed a malware program to see if I had any lingering issues. After about 5 minutes of scanning my computer rebooted. I Continued to let my computer boot up. It happened again, then again. I read on forums that a computer booting up time after time is really hard to diagnose. Just wondering if anyone else has had this issue, and would be able to give me any tips on how I can fix this problem without reinstalling windows.

Any advice is greatly appreciated!

You still may be infected. My best advice is to go to our Virus and Malware Removal forum, read the Updated Steps sticky and follow the advice as given.

Then on that forum post with your results. Make sure you copy and paste the required information in your post.
