Windows XP is being killed off for good, 17 years after launch

After more than 10 years of use without a single Bluescreen of Death, Windows XP is Bug Free (Mine, not Your's)

After more than 5 years of Online use without a single persistent threat, and without ANY Microsoft Security Updates, Windows XP-SP2 is the most secure version of Windows ever made (again, mine, not your's)

REAL Security "Experts" know that XP-SP2 can be locked down and prevent Microsoft from sneaking in through the back doors you find in Windows 7, 8.1 and Privacy Nightmare 10

Sure, I'm running Windows 10, but I keep it offline for security

Anyone who thinks XP is a security fail or that Spyware Platform 10 is the most secure Windows Ever, is not a Windows security expert

You're just using it wrong!

You just don't get what it is that you just don't get
lol... wish I had some of what you're smoking...
lol... You just don't get what it is that you just don't get

I love the logic of "so it works for me, therefore it's perfect"...

This is the same logic people who speed on the highway use... "I've never crashed, even though I drive 130 on the highway, so obviously that's the way to go..." Until they get sideswiped by a beige Corolla...

Sure, your PC has never been hacked... great...has any hacker actually TRIED to hack you? Cause if you're running XP, they could do so fairly easily...

Haven't had a blue screen of death? Great... most people don't get them.... but they can happen at any time....

Please explain to me what I don't get, I'm eager to learn from your vaunted wisdom...

/sarcasm (Didn't forget this time!)

I have challenged the NSA, Israeli Military, Russia, N. Korea, China and anyone else who wants to play the game

I've studied malware for many years and go to the most dangerous sites in the World

XP is locked down in Read Only Mode and a simple reboot eliminates any malware I am currently looking at

I've had great zero days on my XP box from a Beta Flame version in 2007 to some excellent worms between 2012-2014

Java scripts, Flash and all the other Major Vulnerabilities are blocked by default and only the best of the best zero days are allowed in for study

If you wish, you may test my authoritah to your own detriment and the permanent loss of your zero days

Oh wait, you have none....

OK, lets ask you the same....
Please explain to me what I don't get, I'm eager to learn from your vaunted wisdom...

Why are Spyware Platform 10's backdoors and spyware more secure than XP's lack of backdoors and spyware?

How does blackmail and extortion in a licensing agreement make you so confident that Microsoft has your best interests and security at heart?

and why would you pay for your own enslavement?

I don't use XP for Passwords or online banking but I would never use Spyware Platform 10 for that either

We await your generous vomit of wisdom

Please....
I am SO serious!

and......GO!

I still use WinXP with an old version of the Chrome browser(V. 49.0.2623.112 m) to check backwards compatibility of CSS 3 and HTML 5 work. I even browse the 'Net with box. In fact, I am using XP SP3 w/Chrome to enter this response. I know it isn't very secure, but I am walled off pretty well, and used the hack to continue to get security updates masquerading as a POS device.

Those days are over. WinXP SP2 was the last good Microsoft OS. SP3 added bloat without function. It's pretty amazing how responsive the beloved old OS is using newer generation hardware(i5-3570K 16GB DDR3).

I s'pose I will keep my disc with all updates handy. It's fairly common for a developer to check backwards capability when developing anything for PC and Android. Ahh, Android. Now that's fragmentation..I know that topic has been done to death, but the parallels with Windows adoption rates are strikingly similar.

Goodbye XP. It was the best run in the history of MS OSes. You will be dearly missed.

Postscript: I have functioning computers with every MS OS(consumer, pro, server) that have been issued since 1998. No, these are not VMs. They are simply toys for the kids.

Well, I'm going to assume from your inept attempt at quoting on this forum, that you're using Windows XP on that PC :)

Read-Only mode?!? And that's useful for what % of the average PC user? I'm glad you challenged all those organizations... what makes you think they even know you exist? Or care? The hacker who hacks you won't be responding to an inane challenge...

So you don't go online to do anything useful... so what's the point of using your PC? You use it to play Duke Nukem and Chessmaster 2000?

Unless you have hardware that requires Win XP (which many posters have mentioned already in this thread), aren't going online, and don't want to use any modern apps/games, Windows XP is not for you...

Windows 10, despite the vitriol levelled against it, can be tweaked fairly easily (Google is your friend) to make it more secure, stabler, faster and more responsive than XP ever was.

I like Macs better by nature, but I have to admit I liked XP a lot better than earlier or later Win versions. I can't find anything in Win 10. I've used XP on my notebook from 2006 to today.

Oh come one Microsoft!?
You just know you're dying to release another "EMERGENCY OUT OF BAND PATCH" for "REASONS". lol

The blocking of running win xp on newest motheroboard says it. when a os reatch end of it days we salut it to install it and then try to run doom 2016 and fails.

running adobe menat for win 10 x64 and fail. so offline games older then win xp 98 woud run good on old pentium 4 3.06 mhz ? so when xp disipairing from and win 7 got ist tale....
would we not be missing it out. remember som p4 cant even run win 7 8 10.

their bios are to old on motherboards. so if the re release win 95-00 ME with that 150 mhz barrier off with patches many can be saved from not can run that os bug.
if you gonna be needing a 2gb for running win 10 now (1gb before) it would be a blocker for those whom not have money yet ever to get never hardware like i3-i9 cpus.
so telling that win 95-win8.1 cant be used anymore would bi a ticker that would tell yeah to upgrade everything till nxt time and so on.

if I want to use a o/s forever and I cant get better os then a win 3.1 11 sever no one should complin about it.
I was a happy win 95-98 se user pentium 60 mhz 128 mb ram and same with VRAM on gpu. a good pci 128 sb soundcard. when I bought windows me they had put a blocking on that cpu to limit us to buying better cpu. even it was a dos win os. that computer are running games like a 266 mhz-500mhz needed.

I talk about games that s not needed so high to run.
shadow man are still a game I can load on that ticker and run fast.

so 1st of all do you needing a better pc if you just are inside for banking and so on ? of im at x299 x7740 cpu 8 gb ram on gpu abd 16 gb on RAM. so yeah im not having a bad day yet.
ps gaming on old computers (not fun) only some win 95 98 titles can be run good with decent 1 2 (3) fps. and try running internet e outdated for ever version on internet. firefox in and surf.

The limitation to dx 9.0c are still good enough. so going onto vista that support dx1 (out of the box) you can install xp on a win 10 pc but drivers andso on would be limited.
to just reuse that lovely xp would be a crime to not use it.
if some programs games runs better then new ones just go offline test it in a nother os and hope drivers will follow to the future.
the log win xp vertified are still nice to have on stuff thats support it.
old scanners mice keyboards and so on.
some newer motherboard now block installing xp too. it is just like getting banned in sp game for using cheats.
