I have recently decided to recover my system. However, after setting the BIOS to boot from the NEC CD/DVD drive which is the only disc drive i have, does not seem to boot the disc. Instead of booting it comes up with a black screen with a flickering underscore at the top left; When i remove the disc, windows boots up normally. However this problem occured when my Battlefield 2142 disc was in the drive during start-up.
