WMPnetwork sharing corrupts my (shared) folder's permissions

I used to use WMP's network sharing service to stream my albums to my PS3. I keep all my albums on a single folder (which is the sole folder I share on WMP) and it keeps corrupting the folder permissions! I can play the files, but if I try and copy a file, it says that the access is denied and a corrupt file stays in place, which can not be deleted. The whole folder is not deletable either; this is the error dialog box I get:

"Cannot delete xxxxxxx: Access is denied.

Make sure the disk is not full or write-protected
and that the file is not currently in use"

Last time, it took me like an hour to get into safe mode and manually set the permissions for the folders but managed to fix it, and I thought that was going to be the end of it, but it seems that it has happened again. Any ideas?
