Boot loop

I have issues. My laptop caught a mail worm. I got rid of it but when I rebooted I am now in a loop.

It boots to the user name & pass screen. U put in your user & pass. It appears to start but goes right back to the user & pass screen.

I have a external hard drive kit so I pulled the drive & hooked it up to my desktop. I am running tests now but how do I solve the loop issue?

Sidenote, it found already Win32:Adware-gen virus

Safe mode does the same thing. I have no Viruses/Spyware/Malware.

Just have the boot issue.

Why did you move this to the Virus subdir?

That's why

I believe there may still be Viruses\Malware on your system
In any case, one of the files (or registry entries) to either Explorer.exe or Userinit or Logon has become corrupt

I would recommend doing a full antivirus scan with the UBCD (you can also use this free BootCD to back up any user data)

Once complete, try starting up again, if still no go, Windows may need to be repaired
