XP Install not working right

Hello,

I was reinstalling windows XP on my other computer, when somehow I got this error:

STOP: c0000218 Unknown Hard Error
Uknown Hard Error.

That's just about all I get once the system restarted to finish the installtion.

I was going to try Safe mode, but that didn't work either.
The screen goes dark for a minute or so, then it shows the error.

Also my fan has been speeding really hard when it was going this. Although the fan is broken and I'm getting a new one soon. Might be coming in a few days.

**UPDATE***
Its now showing STOP: c000021a Unknown Hard Error.

0xC0000218: UNKNOWN_HARD_ERROR

A necessary Registry hive file couldn’t be loaded. The file may be corrupt or missing (requiring either an Emergency Repair Disk or a Windows reinstallation). The Registry files may have been corrupted because of hard disk corruption or some other hardware problem. A driver may have corrupted the Registry data while loading into memory, or the memory where the Registry is loading may have a parity error (turn off the external cache and check the physical RAM).

A faulty Windows CD could also cause the above error.

Check your ram using Memtest86+ and let it run for at least 7 passes.
